Just like the title of this post says, two days ago the 1/1 scale RX-78-2 was completed. This is the life size Gundam that is being built in Odaiba (Tokyo) and is part of a celebration for the 30 year anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. The date of display for the statue is from July 11th till August 31st. And here are some of the pics of this statue:
The only thing that is left are lights, beam rifle and shield but like you can see, it’s already looking great. I only hope that when I visit Japan in next year, this statue will be still standing in Tokio so I will have oportunity to take some nice photos of it ^^

lol. heard it’s only on display until august…
pity. if only they would leave it there… =(
i wish nxt time they will make a wing zero
dang that’s another reason on why I wanted to go in Japan. I’ve heard that they will make a Tetsujin 28 but on a smaller scale not 1/1 …. I hope they would make an Optimus Prime statue.
